A friend recently sent me this video with a message that said simply, "This is the last music video you will ever need to see in your life." After watching just half of it, I knoew he was right. That being said, I give you Mustache Baby Music Video.

WEBSITE: Chain Bear
So, earlier this month I posted about Buttersafe, a website with witty and interestingly drawn comics, a good waster of a few seconds of your day. Well, I've stumbled upon another one that just "gets me" and maybe it will "get you" too.
Chain Bear has a whole other style. It's concept is more ironic and focuses on the everyday occuraces that we regualr folk may not see the potential humor in. Often times these comics, created by Lauren Taylor and Stuart Taylor, are on the thoughtful side, creating a smile but also a small warm feeling somewhere inside...but most of the time they're kind of crass.

WEBSITE: Whiteboard Unicorns
File this website under "bizarre" and "happy place" The writer of Whiteboard Unicorns has essentially created a series of temporary art pieces, centered around unicorns (and sometimes a blue bucket), and all using a whiteboard as the medium. Like one-panel comics, each one has its own unique haphazzard quality remeniscent of something your stoner neighbor in dorms might have etched onto your own message board for you to find the next morning.

YOUTUBE: Jane Austen's Fight Club
Jane Austen has been the author of many books about Victorian women and their societal struggles. Her books have stood the test of time and have even been adapted to modern popular culture in films such as Clueless (a remake of Austen's Emma). Well, according to this parody, there is one Austen story we haven't yet read, this one far ahead of it's time. Introducing, Jane Austen's Fight Club.
Taking obvious inspiration from the cult-film starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton, and subtle inspiration from some of Austen's true novels, the fake movie trailer is hilarious, not only in concept but also in how the actresses commit to the part. I personally love the victory fist pump at the end, complete with sunglasses and leopard-print coat. Now, this is a classic for the ages!

WEBSITE: Buttersafe
Hump Day is over but it's not quite the weekend, yet. Who said Monday was the worst day of the work-week, huh? Either way, its a perfect day to log onto Buttersafe and check out the twice-weekly comic posted here. It is my Tuesday/Thursday guilty pleasure; something to look forward to and know I will at least smile if not laugh aloud. (Please note I did not say LOL. When will that die?)
Anyways, the website displays hilarious and beautifully illustrated simple cartoons that the lady in the cubicle next door with the inspirational magnets and cat posters will hate. Which is why I love them and why I love to print them off and post them in eyesight of all who pass by my work domain.
Happy Thursday. Very un-Zonino!

WEBSITE: Friends of Irony
Friends of Irony is another of the ever-popular reader-submitted photo websites in the Cheez Burger network. The difference here is that this theme fills a much needed categorial void in cyber space. Irony is all around and, whether on purpose or accidentally, in the age of iPhones and wireless internet people seem to be able to find and spread the ironic joy of our very ironic world. Whether its a grocery store package claiming "All American European-style" lettuce, or a computer error message claiming that "no errors occured," you will be contentedly amused with each and every image found on this site.

WEBSITE: If Shoes Could Kill
"Fashion over function," you say? I'm not sure if the folks at If Shoes Could Kill would agree. WEBSITE: Wedinator
As June is in full swing, wedding season has offically opened and the nuptuals and broom jumping antics have commenced. Wedinator celebrates this too, only just the parts you may want to forget. Forget the impromptu speech your drunk uncle gave, or the fact that the DJ just broke out the chicken dance with props; these are far worse! Using viewer-submitted photographs and videos, the site displays those moments that make guests gasp and brides want to die.
So, this wedding season, keep your eyes open and cameras ready! Awkward guest moments, terrible profesional photographers, mispelled and/or strange cakes, and inappropriate attire are all fair game. You could have some material ripe for this hilarious and mortifying site.

WEBSITE: Bike Snob NYC

When I'm on a bike, I hate cars. They don't know the biking etiquette or signals, nor do they respect the right of way or bike lanes. When I'm driving a car, however, its the opposite; I hate bicyclists. They think they're smaller cars. I'm sure I'm not alone in this socio-ethical dilema.
The author of Bike Snob NYC has some similarly strong feelings, only his are a little stronger and probably much more knowledgable. As the blog's heading claims, he is "systematically and mercilessly disassembling, flushing, greasing, and re-packing the cycling culture." With a strong dislike for fixed speed bikes - "fixies" - and hipster bikers, the blog is as cut-throat as it is humorous. Ranging in posts from goings-on in the Big Apple to international biking news, the site will keep those who don't want to make a biking faux pas in the correct lane and out of oncoming traffic!

WEBSITE: My Ex-Wife's Wedding Dress
In 1697, William Congreve wrote, "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorn'd" in his poem The Mourning Bride. Well, the opposite is apparently true for Kevin Cotter, the author and creator of My Ex-Wife's Wedding Dress, a site devoted to the many uses a beautiful white gown can have if your spouse up and leaves.
In the era of green thinking, Cotter, who's wife of 12 years packed up and left him, develops creative ways in which to be practical, and evidentally, therapeutic with his ex-wife's dress. Forget "halloween costume;" these ideas range from the practical - scarecrow and tablecloth - to those bordering on blatent revenge, like a coffee filter, hammock, or mop.
Now, think carefully about all the useful things you could do with all the crap in that box your ex left behind before you just ceremoniously burn it in a backyard fire pit.

WEBSITE: My Dad Is A FOB
One of my first months living in Colombia I was invited to a potluck BBQ and was tasked with bringing boneless chicken breasts. As my Spanish at the time was less than adequate, I ran into a snag at the supermarket describing what I wanted. I knew how to say chicken (pollo) but "breasts" was not a part of my vocabulary. This scenario ended with a lot of blushing and a possibly inappropriate public game of charades. Nevertheless, cultural differences ultimately create good stories.
Cultural differences between family members, however, have got to be even more entertaining. No doubt they are more frequent as well! The contributor-driven website My Dad Is A FOB contains quotes, emails, and stories from cross-cultural families, usually where the parents have immigrated and not fully assimilated to their new host-country's language or nuances. "Fresh Off the Boat" parents telling their daughters to not date casually with emailed lessons such as "If you are in sandy beech send will be all over your body and so does it blacken you if you are in a coalmine." or conversations misusing "sexy" instead of "sexist" color this humorous site.
Some people don't have to go further than a family dinner to have a "cultural experience!"

WEBSITE: Ugliest Tattoos
I had a coach back in the day that had this hideous blue-green orb tattooed on his entire left shoulder. Granted it was a work-in-progress and by the time it was completed a couple years later the colored ball became any equally unattractive strangely colored ball of fire. At least I think that is what it was supposed to be. The flames covered even more of his shoulder/arm/upper back region and to make the whole thing worse, he bragged that it was his own design. If I had something that atrocious permanently etched onto my body I would make up some story about being kidnapped, drugged, and waking up missing a kidney to justify its ugliness. But that's just me.
Apparently I'm in the minority because the website Ugliest Tattoos: Gallery of Regrets has found some more that make my ex-coach's turquoise fire-ball tat look cool by comparison. I mean, who knew tattoos of toasters were so popular (the site has three posted together)? There are many that have got to be of people who lost a bet - because why else would you get an image of a seal balancing cheese on his nose on your forearm - but there are others that will make you question the sanity of your fellow humans.
The commentary by the site administrators are usually amusing, though after awhile one runs out of things to say. The commentary I want to have is with these inked-up people in say, 25 years. "Hey Mom OF Three, how's that tattoo of a hotdog with all the fixings on your clavicle doing these days?"

YOUTUBE: Handsome Man's Club
Late-night host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel had a sketch on his show earlier this month in which he poked fun as himself with the help of some of music, movie, and television's hottest stars. The Handsome Man's Club is a secret organization where celebrities like actors Matthew McConaughey, Ethan Hawke, Patrick Dempsey, Rob Lowe, Taye Diggs, and Josh Hartnett; football player Tony Romo; and musicians Lenny Kravitz, Keith Urban, and Sting, amoung several others "handsomes." Its fun to keep watching just to see who else is going to pop up.
Any sketch making fun of "Twilight," spanks, Romo's ears, and red-haired beards, borders on pure genius. I would have loved to have been there during the filming of this bit just to see how much was ad-libbed and what, no doubt, went on that ened up on the cutting room floor, despite its hilarity. Plus, watching Kravitz call Kimmel a "punk-ass bitch" live would have been epic. Make sure you watch it all the way to the end for one last special guest star.

WEBSITE: Photobomb
Have you ever been flipping through your digital camera the day after a great night out only to notice, upon closer zoomed in inspection, that the "super cute" picture you took with your friend has a creepy guy lurking in the background over your left shoulder making perverted slash constipated face. Not funny, right?
Well, This Is Photobomb* would like to disagree. As will anyone who visits this site, since it is funny, as long as it's not your pictures someone is hijacking! My favorite "photobombs" are ones where animals or unsuspecting people are the ones ruining the photos. The copulating horses in the background of an otherwise nice beach portrait or the girl checking something in her swimsuit while her friends take a self photo in front of her (at right) are both classic examples.
So, enjoy the photobombs and hope people continue to jump in where they don't belong, but hope they don't do it to you!

*The site often times contains nudity in the form of bare bottoms and an occasional "side boob."

WEBSITE: Go Fug Yourself
So, I was stumbling around the internet at work on Monday, looking for the latest on what the critics thought of who's Oscar gown (or lack there of) with one eye and scanning the office for my boss with the other, when I came across what might be my new favorite website. Go Fug Yourself: Fugly is the New Pretty is a blog written by two hilarious ladies who give praise and pity in equal doses, when stars head out to a red carpet.

Therefore, Sunday's Oscar ceremony was a doozy! Not only was there the red carpet at the awards show, but there were the after-parties; and no self-respecting Hollywood starlet would dare show up to both wearing the same dress! Did I mention these gals were hilarious?!? One of my favorites from the Oscar run-down was their description of, country singer, Faith Hill's frock (pictured wi
thout permission at left). The ladies described her as wearing "what is essentially the love child of a creepy old lady's nighgown, and...another creepy old lady's nightgown. Plus the top of Catwoman's discarded bandeau bikini top." Looks about right to me!
Want to look for your favorite fashion-challenged star? Use the "Fug Me" search function and see how they've been doing with dressing themselves for public appearances! It might be worth getting caught on this site. By my boss, not the red carpet photogs!

WEBSITE: Failbooking
If I had to list my top ten pet peeves, I'm fairly confident at least four of them would involve something people do on facebook. Talking about the inane thing they did or did not have for breakfast, leaving an ominously fatalistic status about their day, and joining lame pointless groups like "People who have counted the hairs on their knuckles" all irritate me. But above all, I can not stand a bad speller. I can tolerate text-speak but if you are going for an actual word that normal 4th graders can spell, you need to get it right!
Brought to you by the fine folks over at the previously ZONINO!ed Failblog, comes the head-shakingly true its sad and funny Failbooking. The site documents embarrassing, bizarre, and straight up stupid things posted on the social networking site. The great thing is that, unlike the original Failblog, these gaffes (or ignorant fouls) need no taglines, quips, or captions to point out how badly they fail.
Enjoy, but remember you probably have an acquaintance or two in your "friend list" this dumb. So, definitely keep an eye out the next time they act like a fool and send it in!

WEBSITE: Hipster Puppies
My disdain for LOLcatz and the like is widely known. However, Hipster Puppies found a place in my funny bone. Based out of a Tumbler blog, the site features photos of the canine variety, some dressed up and posed, others not, with faux-pretentious captions of the "hipster" persuasion.
For example, a resent post features a small lap dog with a studded collar, slightly cocked head, and Tucan Sam mohawk hairdo. The captions reads "Falcor begrudgingly explained to his mom that wearing girl’s jeans doesn’t make him gay." Another caption, with a picture of a Boston Terrier wearing white-framed "Risky Business" style specs and a cardigan straight from your Grandpa's closet in 1976, says "Popeye insists he doesn’t have 'a thing for asian girls,' even though his last four girlfriends have been Pekingese."
Oh, hipster puppies, you slay me!

YOUTUBE: Shiny Suds Commercial
Believe it or not, The Shiny Suds Commercial, which has been making its way around the internet lately, is a real advertisement. However not for an actual cleaning product. Seemingly mocking (or inspired by) shower cleaners such as Scrubbing Bubbles™, the ad is actually a public service announcement for an advocacy group known as METHOD: People Against Dirty. These good folks are proponents of the "Household Product Labeling Act" which promotes the accurate labeling of all chemicals in cleaning products. (Which is pretty ZONINO! in and of itself!)
But I digress...just check out the creepy perverted bubbles that the woman in the ad is originally enamored by and then begins to wonder who they are what they came from. My favorite is the big bubble and his leering "use the loofah" suggestion. It's a shame the ad got pulled for alleged rape innuendo because I think it makes its point very well; it is important to know the chemicals we expose ourselves and our families to on a daily basis.
Support the "Household Product Labeling Act"!!!!
