As a follow-up to the post from yesterday about Betty White's partnership with clothier Hoodie Buddie to raise money to benefit the Morris Animal Foundation, comes this farse of an advertisement naming White as the "designer of the year". Full of White's sartorial wit and some great one-liners, the spot amkes it clear why this woman is a national treasure, even if she's got a mouth like a sailor.

APPAREL: Betty White's Hoodies
Comediene extraordinaire and everyone's favorite octagenarian is, as they say on the shirt, "White Hot" right now. Ex-Golden Girl and pop-culture phenomena, Betty White is riding an incredible and unexpected career wave for all its worth. Well, join in the fun and head over to Hoodie Buddie and get a piece of the action with your very own Betty White apparel.
T-shirts and hoodies - complete with built-in technology to suit your iPod - in a multitude of designs and colors. My favorite is the white "Propaganda" hoodie and t-shirt with a black and white campaign poster-style print on the front with the word "Betty" printed boldly below. The holiday season is fast approaching, folks! This is great gift for you or your funniest friends!

WEBSITE: Once Upon A Win
Once Upon A Win is the anti-Failblog. Instead of pointing out things that are epically wrong, this site celebrates the great victories of times gone by. All those things you thought were "rad" back in the day, still are, you just can't get them anymore. Adult footie pajamas, Umbro shorts, 70's coloured Tupperware, and Tamagotchi's are all here for your reminiscing pleasure. The absolute most fantastic part of this site though, with out a doubt, is "80's Music Video Thursday" where the likes of Belinda Carlisle, Salt N Pepa, and The Fixx come back to their aquanetted, stirruped pants wearing, paint-splattered jean jacket glory!

APPAREL: Skull Candy
This might be the first time we've posted something on this blog that goes beyond ZONINO! I don't know if that is possible but I'm double or triple ZONINO!=type excited about this product. Skull Candy makes the most crazy-cool headphones I have ever seen in my life. This guy sitting next to me in the coffee shop was wearing a pair (that I can't seem to find on the site which is a bummer because they were awesome) and I could not resist asking him where he found such an amazing thing. I then asked if he gets asked a lot to which he replied, "yeah." Not a huge conversationalist.
Anyways, the headphones range in everything from earbuds to the giant DJ-style ones that cover your entire head. There are even some celebrities that have designed a pair or two like Snoop Dogg and 3OH!3. Snoop Dogg's headpiece, for example comes in two colors - blue or black - with a paisley do-rag design and white pads around the speakers; you can't look much more "izzle" than that. And right now, for you vintage and current sports fans, there are limited edition basketball-themed headphones. Get an old-school Boston celtics or Chicago Bulls emblazoned pair to rock to the next game.
I'm so excited about these, I haven't even gotten mine in the mail yet (I ordered the Paul Frank design). However, according to the comments from happy customers, the sound quality and durability of these headphones is beyond traditional department store brands. And the fashion aspect is clearly in another world!

APPAREL: Teach The Controversy

While I performed rather under-whelmingly in my high school science days, I do remember some of my classmates getting all up in arms whenever "evolution" was brought up; it seemed to make our teacher a little irritated too, but I guess I can understand that now. I never took a philosophy or religious studies class so some of the arguments surrounding science and other areas of thought often go over my head. However, the web-based company Teach The Controversy is much more "with it" creatively than I am or was.
I tried to get Sergio to post this one, being a sciencey dude (cough nerd), but alas, he did not bite. Regardless, I think the idea is great. Per the creator's own mission statement:
"Let sarcasm be your weapon in the great evolution vs. creationism debate! You don't have to be an atheist to want to keep science in science class, and sporting one of these graphic tees sarcastically urging schools to teach other pseudosciences, myths, and discredited theories is a fine way to show your pro-science stance. Darwin would be proud!"
The shirts come in a variety of colors and styles, with a standard t-shirt being only $15.99 plus shipping. There are also sweatshirts, tank tops, and messenger bags for all styles. If you're in a science class currently, this might be a good way to get your teacher's attention and maybe some bonus points!

APPAREL: Mod Cloth

Its a good thing that ModCloth is not an actual physical store because I would be there all the time. This online women's clothing, shoes, and accessories shop is one of a kind and very stylish if you're in to modern clothes with a non-thrift store retro vibe.
The site is super easy to navigate and they even have a special "Twelvsies Tuesdays" where you can buy twelve items and receive 12% off the total. There is also a mod fashion blog and a pretty cool "Be the Buyer" feature where we, the shoppers, can have our say in what designs make it into the store by voting for samples that you like!
I bought a pair of wedge sandals and a dress for my day to day grind at the office when I want to look super cute. (These were not to be worn together, mind you; I've got more sense than that!) I got both items in a timely manner and I can definitely say a chunk of my next paycheck will be going to this fabulous company come pay day!Buzzy

YOUTUBE: T-Shirt War
This video is one of the best stop-action videos I've seen in a long while. The two guys in the short film, T-Shirt War, change t-shirt many times - often with just a slight change in the design of the shirt - to create the desired effect. In my opinion, you can tell the quality of a stop-action film by how awe-inspired the inevitable "that must have taken forever" statement is. And I don't even want to think about it in this case.

WEBSITE: GoJane
I love the holidays! The lights, the food, the music, the spirit...I just can't get enough! The one thing I have a love/hate relationship with is my social events calendar. I love getting together with family, friends, and colleagues for this party, or that dinner, or some snappy cocktail hour as much as the next gal, but I find that I'm running out of things to wear!
Now, I don't need a closet full of new outfits, just something to make them look new and different. A friend turned me on to GOJane, a clothing and accessories online store with amazing deals. This is also a prime spot to pick up all those stocking stuffers for your girlfriends!
Just in time for the four New Years bashes you've got to make an appearance at, right?!?

APPAREL: BCBGeneration "Ariel" Shoe
One of my best friends from way back in high school is jumping the broom today and gettin' hitched. Oh, also, she loves the shoes she chose to wear for the ceremony and said they were totally Zonino! worthy.
She told me that the leather square peep toed kicks with 3-3/4 inch covered heels are really comfortable and that even though she was wearing them around the house "for practice," she might have to keep them on. If that's not an endorsement, I don't know what is!
