DJ Earworm has struck again with a mashup jam just in time for the heat of summer. "Like OMG, Baby" takes some of the hottest radio and club hits and remixes them together in a giant conglomeration that is arguably better than any one of its constructive pieces. Much like February's "Blame It on the Pop" this song is instantly recognizable and catchy without being tired and feeling over-played. Download it free from DJ Earworm's website today!

MUSIC: 2009 Pop Music Mash-up
I not the biggest fan of current Top 40 pop music hits unless I'm at the club but I must admit that, although I can't stand half the songs that were everywhere this past calendar year, I am obsessed with DJ Earworm's Pop Music Mash-up of 2009. It's almost like the creation of a whole new song; sadly it's one that makes more sense, lyrically, all remixed together, than some of last year's biggest radio hits!
Combining everything from the über-popular "Single Ladies" (Beyonce), "Down" (Jay Sean), "I Gotta Feeling" (Black Eyed Peas), "Use Somebody" (Kings of Leon), and "Just Dance" (Lady Gaga) to "Heartless" (Kanye West), "Gives You Hell" (All-American Rejects), "Love Story" (Taylor Swift), and [the terrible] "The Climb" (Miley Cyrus). Also making welcome appearances are "My Life Would Suck Without You" (Kelly Clarkson), "I'm Yours" (Jason Mraz) and "Dead and Gone" (T.I. with Justin Timberlake).
You can download the track for free from DJ Earworm's website too. (If you don't know how, look for instructions on the right side of the video on YouTube.) Hey, and even if you're like me and don't enjoy half these tunes alone, take solace in knowing Justin Bieber didn't make the mix this year.

MUSIC: "Meet Me Halfway"
While I still love me some "I Gotta Feeling" and don't think I've ever not dance when this Black Eyed Peas song comes on, even all alone in my apartment, I love Fergie's voice even more. The girl can blow and I love songs that feature her vocals, like "Shut Up" and "Don't Lie." It's about time for another...
The sultry and smooth "Meet Me Halfway", off their 2009 album The E.N.D. gives Fergie plenty of center-stage space. Plus, the video has will.i.am riding an elephant on the moon. I think that might be ZONINO! enough right there.

YOUTUBE: UQAM I Gotta Feeling
The Black Eyed Peas hit single "I Gotta Feeling" was everywhere this summer and continues to gain popularity with it's anthemic declaration to simply have a great time! Well, it looks like the students majoring in communications at l'Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) had a great time creating this video for the song.
Using one single moving shot, throughout what I can only assume to be one of the University's buildings, a little of two hours of organization time, and nearly 200 students, they have created a well choreographed and smile-inducing interpretation to do the BEP proud. I don't even want to think about the logistical nightmares in organizing something like this but I am impressed! No doubt we will be seeing some imitators in the future; if not with this song than with another!
Be sure to watch the video a couple times to catch hidden bits of humor you may have missed during your first viewing. Some things, like Wonder Woman and Waldo (of "Where's" variety) doing make sense other than the fact that they are having a good time, but watch for the costumes of the students on the stairs and the details like the days of the week on the shot glasses and kid eating a "Sunday." I also like how intricate some of the parts are, with some lip-syncers only mouthing a sound that goes relatively unnoticed in the audio otherwise.
